Restaurant Manager assists the General Manager in running a Kapstadt Brauhaus store with a focus on operational efficiency and maximizing profit.
Responsibilities:
- Food and Beverage knowledge:
- Full menu knowledge.
- Basic skills to manage a kitchen, including an ability to read a recipe.
- Able to manage the ordering process, including fruit & veg, as well as all bar and kitchen orders. Will also oversee and execute Monday and Thursday orders.
- Knowledge of stock quality.
- A good working relationship with Brauhaus suppliers.
- Basic POS knowledge, including capturing invoices, pulling management overview reports, daily stock-takes, and daily cash-up procedures.
Staff:
- Ability to motivate waiters/waitresses.
- Knowledge of the company’s history and ethos.
- Recognize the importance of customer satisfaction.
- Promote the ethos of ATD: Attention To Detail.
- Ability to pre-empt service problems by managing proactively.
- Lead by example.
- Ability to handle guest complaints.
- Ability to build customer loyalty.
- Ability to perform the duties of any member of staff on the floor in the event of short staffing or unforeseen circumstances.
Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years previous experience in a restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Enthusiastic team player committed to customer satisfaction.
- Possess a strong work ethic.
